Dear Visitor,
Welcome to the Széchenyi István University Apáczai Csere János Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (SZE AK). Thank you for visiting us. Building on 240 years on tradition, we are working hard to ensure that we provide our students with useful and important knowledge and thereby prepare them to succeed in the labor market as well as in personal and community life. Our Faculty is an excellent choice to attain your education and prepare for a successful career. Our Faculty is friendly, welcoming and supportive and offers a wide range of academic programmes and a rich array of co-curricular activities for our students. We provide professional education in the fields of humanities, education and social sciences (since 2017 International Relations BA course in English). The students who emerge with a complete education from SZE AK go on to become our most accomplished primary teachers, special needs educators, entrepreneurs, international relations experts, social workers, sociologists, cultural mediators, and HR experts. SZE AK provides exciting educational opportunities for students from all backgrounds and locations. At SZE AK students not only get the latest materials in the classroom but also have many opportunities for real world application while still a student. Our Faculty is an exciting place to be. It has a committed and knowledgeable group of academics who undertake research across a wide range of disciplines. Frequent international visitors, lecturers and students to the Faculty make sure we are not isolated or inward looking and remind us that multidisciplinary approaches are essential. Finally, I should mention that both the University and the Faculty enjoy excellent relations with industry an outstanding institutions, especially in Győr and the region. About 90% of our graduates found employment within six months after graduation in 2017, according to the annual survey published by the Ministry of Human Resources.
